
Tocca beauty is perfect to touch by Shane Andrews
The Tocca company was named for the Italian word “touch” stemming from the luxurious fabrics and embroidery used in their clothing line the company first specialized in.
The origins of Tocca began in 1994 when a group of friends on holiday in St. Lucia talked about a vision of beautiful clothing at affordable prices. Their clothing line consisted originally of brightly hued terry cloth dresses and embroidered Sari-inspired mini dresses. Celebrities then who wore the clothing included Christy Turlington, Tatiana Von Furstenberg, and Samantha Kluge
In 1997 they launched Tocca Beauty as travel accessories with the European traveler on holiday in mind. The line of products was an immediate success. With distinctive and sophisticated scents Tocca Beauty quickly developed a cult following. Celebrities who use Tocca include Sarah Jessica Parker. Natalie Portman. Drew Barrymore and Gwyneth Paltrow. The beautiful and whimsical packaging design which features a Siren (mermaid) has received fantastic press coverage from giants such as Vogue, New York Times, WWD (Women’s Daily Wear), Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.
These portable luxuries are now made as hotel amenities in sizes starting at 1.0oz tubes, and also available in 2.0oz tubes, and are also a perfect travel size. B and B (Bed and Breakfast) owners love the statement the 2.0oz hotel soap with a Siren carved in the surface makes. A soap is also available in a 1.5oz size. The Soap, Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Body Cream (lotion) and Bath Salts all have the fresh but subtle scent of Grapefruit & Cucumber, which is not heavily perfumed therefore ideal for use by men and women. A Shower Cap and Vanity Kit in cartons are also available.
Tocca Beauty products are nature based, and do not contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate, which can be an irritant for some sensitive skins, and hair. There is in fact some Aloe Barbaensis Leaf juice which is soothing.
